i heart Adventurer Fashion

I'm on an adventure, but its not safari, and it's not the jungle, so I can't do that sexy seasonal safari look, besides it's more hard yakka an adventure. I was thinking more Steve Erwin, Girl Guide and Indiana Jones style. I was thinking, its not really Safari, it's Adventurer! It's the similar brown and grays, but its some how less sexy and more geeky. More real genuine leather and less fake animal print. It's slightly Steam Punk, but not really. It's butterfly collector gets caught out in the wild and is actually a master of the wilderness. It's the call back to workman's boots, its the khaki green back in, its the long army-esq jackets and functional clothing, it's the leather chest belts but all with a geeky biology zookeeper bent. It's butterflies in jars and insects on pins, hell lets go jelly-fish fishing! It's an adventure!

i heart Something Else

I first spotted Something Else in the first 3D magazine shoot I've ever seen in Remix magazine, one of my favourite New Zealand mags. What an amazing fashion shoot and what great clothes to match it. I love the geometric print and I especially want those tights. I've been thinking about them the past couple of days and I think I might just have to get myself a pair. The socks really interest me, there like a not pair pair. I like em. I would like to wear an entire 3 piece outfit made out of that moon triangle fabric, that would be awesome. The stuff on the blog Something Else have going is really interesting too, it's cool to see where the inspiration comes from for the designs, you can see it in there.

This is such a great idea for a meeting area. Just big coloured dots with the furniture. Dots are back in with Karen Walker heading back to dots and stripes. Big dots are back in. I used to have heaps of polka dot clothes. I would love to cover a wall in dots or a building. Yayoi Kusama styles. It makes it so much more interesting than the non patterned life we live. big dots and dots on the face too. Sequins even. Lets bring some delight and fun back into life.

i heart Michael Jackson This is It

I never felt any desire to watch this movie until I got on an international flight and all the movies I had either seen or didn't want to watch. Yknow what? I loved it. Michael Jackson's style. Dancing in a Balmain jacket. Those silver glitter pants, that glitter band around his arm. The baggy pants on the background dancers. The orange jeans with the blue t shirt combo - absolutely loved it. Not to mention the amazing out of this world talent of the dancers and all the tech teams. It makes me wanna dance and I mean reeeeaaally daaance.
